For the signer

When you receive a signature request, the initial link to access the documents is valid for 48 hours. This ensures the security of signature links.

If you are using this link beyond the 48-hour period, you will be redirected to a page where you can request a new link in just one click. You do not need to contact the sender in this case.

To generate a new link:

  • Click on "Send me a new link".

  • A new link is generated and sent to your email address.

  • Click on the signature request's new link and access the documents.

If you have a Yousign subscription, the new links are automatically generated if you are logged in to your account.

For the sender

When you send a signature request, the initial link to access the documents is valid for 48 hours. This ensures the security of signature links.

If you wish to extend the validity period of the signature link to 72 hours, please contact support@yousign.com

If your signer contacts you stating the signature link they have received is not valid, you can send them a reminder, which will generate a new link. To do this:

  • Go to your signature request details page.

  • Click on "Send reminder" at the top right of the screen.

To know more about reminders, check out our dedicated article.
