Converting form fields in your PDF documents into Yousign fields makes document preparation easier and more efficient. Instead of adding fields manually, Yousign automatically detects and inserts them for you, saving time and effort. With a smoother workflow, you can focus on what matters most -getting your documents signed quickly and hassle-free.
How to convert Form Fields into Yousign Fields
Converting Form Fields in your PDF documents into Yousign Fields is a simple, quick, and ready-to-use feature. The following steps will guide you through this process.
Step 1: Log in to Yousign
Go to the Yousign website and log in to your account.
This feature is not included in the freemium plan.
Step 2: Create a New Signature Request
Click on "New Request" to start the signature request process.
Upload your document(s).
Step 3: Upload Your Document(s)
Select and upload your document(s), If your document(s) contains Pre-existing form fields, they will be automatically detected by Yousign’s fields feature.
Step 4: Apply Detected Form Fields
A message will appear in the document preparation interface, indicating that Pre-existing form fields have been detected.
You will have two options:
Add fields: Clicking this will automatically insert the detected fields into your document.
Skip: This will ignore the detected fields, allowing you to add one-by-one Yousign fields instead.
You will need to add a signer before being able to add the fields.

Step 5: Customize Fields
Once added, the form fields can be:
Edited (resize, rename, or modify field properties).
Reassigned to a different signer.
Customized to fit specific needs.
If multiple signers are involved, you can assign specific fields to each signer by selecting the fields and choosing the appropriate recipient.
Step 6: Managing Multiple Documents
You can upload multiple documents in a single signature request.
Yousign will detect and convert pre-existing fields into Yousign fields for each document. Every time you upload a document, Yousign will propose you to add pre-existing form fields if you want them to be converted.
Step 7: Finalizing Your Signature Request
After reviewing and customizing the fields as needed, proceed with the signature request process.
Send the request to the signers and track progress within Yousign’s App.
Availability
Included in all paid plans: This feature is available across all Yousign paid plans.
Not available in freemium plans: Freemium users do not have access to form fields, this feature is not included in their plan.
