Closing your Yousign account is a simple process, but it's important to ensure all your documents and agreements are securely managed before taking that final step.

What happens when I close my Yousign account?


By closing your Yousign account, you accept that all your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy. Please understand that you won’t be able to sign back into this account after completing the process.

Every close account request is irreversible. Once it's confirmed, you won’t be able to cancel it.

Once you confirm the close account request :

  • Your subscription will be suspended and you won’t be able to send new signature requests.

  • You still will be able to access your account for 14 days after closing your account, to download any signed or uploaded documents on Yousign.

  • Every signer of every signature request you sent with your Yousign account will be notified via email to download his or her signed documents and audit trails.

  • After the 14-day period:

    • You will be logged out and won’t be able to log back into this account nor download any signed documents you might have signed with Yousign.

    • All signers of past signature requests will automatically lose access to the documents they signed with Yousign via your organization.

  • Once the close your account process is completed, you will receive a confirmation email.

You are responsible for storing and preserving signed documents and audit trails in a location that guarantees the document's integrity and enforceability in case of any future litigation.

How to close your Yousign account?


To be able to close your Yousign account :

  • Make sure you have no pending signature requests. If you have pending signature requests, make sure to cancel them before requesting to delete your account.

  • If you have already requested the closing of your account, you won’t be able to ask for a new close account request. If you’ve received an email confirming that your close account request was received, it should be completed in the next 14 days following your request.

To close your Yousign account:

  1. Log into your Yousign account as an Owner.

  2. Select Account settings at the bottom of the navigation bar.

  3. Go to the Account Deletion section.

  4. Select Close my Account and click on it.

  5. Confirm that you wish to close your account.

How do I know if my request was successful?


Once you’ve submitted your close account request, you will automatically see a banner on the top of your account displaying the exact date on which your account will be closed. Once your account is closed you won’t be able to log back in and won’t be able to download your signed documents.

As a reminder, you have 14 days after you’ve completed your close account request to download all your documents and audit trails.
