You can enable your signers to reproduce their handwritten signature directly in Yousign to sign your documents, very simply. Find out in this article how to activate it for your organization.

Discover the "Draw signature" option

Enable handwritten signatures for your signers, so that they can reproduce their signature directly in the Yousign application to sign your signature requests.

By activating the option for your organization, all your signers will then be able to choose between :

  • draw their signature

  • use the signature image proposed (with their name) by Yousign.

It is not possible to force a signer to sign by hand.

Activate "Draw signature" option

Only Admin and Account Owner users can activate the option for their organization.

To activate the "Draw signature" option for your signers :

  • Access your settings by clicking on your initials at bottom left of the page,

  • Click on "Signature Experience",

  • Go to the "Signature settings" page,

  • Activate the "Enable signature drawing" option in the "Signature flow" section,

  • Confirm your settings by clicking on "Save signature settings" at the bottom of the page.

Once activated, the option will be proposed to all signers of signature requests issued from your Yousign organization. You can deactivate the option at any time.

Impact for your signers

When signing your documents, your signers can choose to materialize their signature on your documents by choosing to sign with their name (by dragging the cursor), or by choosing to draw their signature as shown below:

It's important to remember that the visible signature image is essentially psychological and cosmetic, and merely materializes the signer's consent. On the other hand, the electronic signature, which has legal value, is a cryptographic process, immaterial and invisible, which is integrated into the PDF document format.
