An electronic signature must fulfil at least those three following criteria:
The identity of the person who is signing,
A proof of consent of the signer
The guarantee of the document integrity, meaning the content has to be frozen in time.
The electronic signature is part of a precise legal environment in Europe via the eIDAS (Electronic IDentification And Trust Services) regulation and in France via its transcription in articles 1366 and 1367 of the civil code.
