You can use labels to categorize and filter signature requests. Follow this guide to find out how.

About Labels


With Labels, you can easily categorize your Signature Requests by the criteria of your choice, such as type of document or topic, and use them as filters to identify requests that require action from you.

Adding and Removing Labels


You have two different ways to add, create or remove labels on your signature requests:

  • When you are initiating a signature request on the settings section

    • Go to the Signature request settings page

    • Go to the Request details section.

    • Click on "Add labels"

    • Select a label or click on "add new label", enter the name of your new label and click "Create label".

  • After sending a signature request, on the signature request details page

    • Go to the Signature request details page

    • Click on the "labels" icon at the top of the page

    • Select a label or click on "add new label", enter the name of your new label and click "Create label".

You can add up to 1000 labels per organization. You can link an unlimited amount of labels to a signature request.

To remove a label from a signature request:

  • Click on the cross next to the label you wish to remove

  • The label will be removed.

Managing Labels


You can manage labels in your organization's settings where you’ll be able to create, rename and delete labels.

Create a label

To create a label:

  • Click on your initials at the bottom left of the page.

  • Click on "Signature Settings".

  • Click on "Manage labels".

  • Click on "New label".

  • Enter the name you wish to give to your new label.

  • Click on "Save label"

Rename a label

To rename a label:

  • Click on "..." at the end of the label you wish to rename .

  • Click on "Rename label".

  • Enter the new name you wish to call your label.

  • Click on "Save label".

  • The label will be renamed for everyone in the organization.

Delete a label

To delete a label:

  • Click on "..." at the end of the label you wish to delete.

  • Click on "delete label".

  • The label will be deleted for everyone in the organization.


Using Labels


You can now filter your signature requests by label to find them easily on Yousign. To do so:

  • Go to the Signatures page.

  • Click on "Filters".

  • Click on "Labels".

  • Select the labels you wish to see.

  • Click on "Apply".

  • You will only see the signature requests linked to the labels selected.
