It’s important to note that the electronic signature is performed on your digital document that is in a PDF format.

Only this PDF is considered as an original and has legal value.

Any electronic copy of the signed document is also an original if it has not been altered.

If you want to print out your electronically signed document, you will have a duplicate. This duplicate doesn't have the same legal value.

As a reminder, the image on the document is "cosmetic". It shows the consent of the signatory but has no legal value. It is the electronic certificate integrated into the PDF which ensure the non-repudiation and the integrity of the document.

Therefore, if you need to provide an original, the electronically signed PDF document should be sent.
