Using Digital Identity on iOS

Updated yesterday

This page is for users who want to save or use their digital identity with an iPhone running iOS version 26.2.

Prerequisites for Apple Devices (iPhone/iPad)

To fully utilize the digital identity features on your iOS device, two conditions are required:

  • 1. Use the Safari browser Digital identity requires the native Safari browser to work properly on iPhone and iPad.

  • 2. Enable a password manager Your digital identity must be stored locally on your device via a password manager (the next section explains how to do this with the iOS-integrated manager). Yousign does not store your digital identity for security reasons.

Enable the iCloud Password Manager

By default, iOS offers iCloud as a password manager.

Here's how to verify that it's enabled:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone

  2. Tap on your name at the top of the screen

  3. Select iCloud

  4. In the third section, tap on Passwords

  5. Verify that the "Sync this iPhone" option is enabled

If you cannot find the option, you can also search directly using your Settings’ search bar with the words "iCloud password" to go straight to the dedicated page.

✅ Once this configuration is complete, your digital identity will be saved on your device and can be used for your future signatures.
