Understanding Your Consumption Dashboard

The Consumption Dashboard provides an easy way to track and monitor your usage during your subscription period. This article will guide you through the different sections of the dashboard, explain what each element means, and help you maximize your usage.

This dashboard is accessible by Admins and the Account Owner.

Add-on Consumption Overview

If you have subscribed to an add-on, the Add-on Consumption section will allow you to track how much of your purchased add-ons have been used versus what remains available. This is especially useful for monitoring signature and electronic seal consumption, ensuring you do not exceed your subscription limits.

Example add-ons you might see:

  • Simple eSignatures (SES) for API users who have subscribed to a package of signatures.

  • Advanced eSignatures (AES)

  • Qualified eSignatures (QES)

  • Simple eSeals

  • Advanced eSeals

The Add-on Consumption Overview for Simple eSignatures (SES) only applies to API users (The Signatures Count will only take into consideration signature requests from the API usage).

Each add-on will display:

  • Current usage: The number of signatures or seals used out of the total available in your plan.

  • Percentage used: A visual indicator of how much of the available quota has been consumed.

  • Cumulated consumption: A graph showing the evolution of consumption over time, since the start date of the validity of your add-on.

Signature Consumption Overview

This section provides detailed insights into how signatures are being used over time, where you can monitor usage based on the signature level.

In addition, identification attempts made through identity verification or a saved digital identity (for Qualified Electronic Signature) can be tracked from this section.

Key Metrics:

  • Invited signers: This reflects how many users have been invited to sign documents, by signature level.

    • Simple eSignature (SES)

    • Advanced eSignature (AES)

    • Qualified eSignature (QES)

The number of invited signers with the QES level is given as an indication since you are billed according to the number of identification attempts (3 attempts for each QES by credit in self-serve) made by your signers for this level.

  • Identification attempts: This reflects how many identification attempts (either failed or successful) are made by your signers for Qualified Electronic Signature.

    • ID verification: When signers undergo identity checks.

    • Digital identity: When signers use their digital identity to verify their identity.

While using the Qualified Electronic Signature (QES), your signers are entitled to 3 identification attempts for each QES credit in self-serve.

Unused QES attempts do not get carried forward to another QES credit.

How to Use the Graph: The graph visually represents your usage over time, and you can filter the display by:

  • Date:

    • Use the shortcuts 7 Days, 30 Days, 3 Months, 6 Months, or 12 Months for quick overviews.

    • Or use the Custom Date option for more specific periods (The maximum period that can be selected is 1 year)

  • You can also switch between daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly views to see usage trends over time, according to your preferences.

  • Source: Filter consumption by the source of the activity. This lets you isolate usage data coming from the Application or API.

  • Workspaces: If you are part of multiple workspaces, you can filter consumption by Workspace. This option enables you to focus on the usage from a specific workspace or a combination of several.

  • External ID: For API users, you can further refine your consumption data by filtering through External ID.

If you use Workspaces, these graphs show the consumption recorded in the workspaces to which the current user belongs.

You may therefore notice discrepancies with the previous section, which shows your organization's overall consumption level.

Seal Consumption Overview

This section provides detailed insights into how electronic seals are being used over time.

Key Metrics:

  • Sealed documents: This reflects how many documents have been sealed electronically.

    • Simple eSeal

    • Advanced eSeal

Similar to the signature overview, you can filter by different time frames or use custom dates to see how many documents have been sealed over time and refine the consumption by Source, Workspace, or External ID

Export your Consumption (CSV)

The Export feature allows you to download raw consumption data in a CSV format, providing flexibility for in-depth analysis outside of the platform.

How it works:

  • There is an export function available next to each consumption graph, allowing you to export data for signature consumption, identification attempts, and seal consumption

  • The CSV export reflects the selected date range, as well as any of the filters currently applied on the dashboard, including Source, Workspaces, and External ID filters, ensuring that you only export the data relevant to your specific query.

Click on "Export Consumption (CSV)." and a CSV file will be downloaded to your computer.

The export includes several columns:

  • signer_id: Signer identification

  • signer_email: Signer's email

  • signature_request_id: Signature request identification

  • signature_request_name: Signature request name

  • signature_level: Signer's chosen signature level (only Qualified here)

  • signer_identification: Type of signer identification (identity verification without the use of digital identity or with)

  • identified_at: Date of identification

  • identification_status: Identification status (success or failure)

  • sender_id: Sender's identification

  • sender_email: Sender's email

  • authentication_key

  • api_key_description

  • external_id
