Add a long text field
With the long text field, the form respondent can enter a long text to answer the question and add line breaks in his response.
For example, you can use a long text field to automate the preparation of a work contract by collecting the description of the job missions.
Compare to the short answer field with a maximum of 254 characters, long answer field allows the form respondent to add up to 1500 characters.
Be aware that with a long text field, all the text of the imported document will shift down, which can lead to an incorrect position of the mention and/or signature fields.
Tips to prevent breaking document layout
To prevent an incorrect position of the mention and/or signature fields when adding a long text field, we suggest:
To add a review step (in the form settings)
It will be possible to reposition the mention and/or signature fields before sending the document to signature.
Or
To edit the source document (in Google docs or Word) and add a page break before mentions and signatures location
The text of the previous pages can be shifted down without impacting the position of other fields.
